To: Port Authorities, Shipowners, Operators and Shipping Companies
The purpose of this Note is to communicate to the users of the Panamanian Registry; that the temporary measure applied according the Note No. DGGM-TIT-339-2022 of 9* of December, 2022, will be extended for one (1) more month to the Processing Certificate of Endorsement (CT), which is valid for a period of three (3) months, as allowed by Regulation 1/10 of the 1978 STCW Convention, as amended.
The provisions of this measure will be for the Processing Certificate of Endorsement (CT) with expiration date from December 2022, extending the validity for two (2) more months from the expiration date shown in the CT.
In case, the vessel face any problem with the port authority, this Note shall be shown together with the following supporting documentation:
a) Processing Certificate of Endorsement (CT).
b) Valid Certificate of Competency from Home Country.
c) Any other Certificate of Proficiency required for the position (if applicable).
It shall be noted that the aim of our Administration is focused on continuing to provide a good service to the seafarers who work on the ships of the Panamanian Registry and guarantee that these ships maintain a qualified personnel duly certified in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Convention.
